Departure day for my family

Well the day has finally come. As I sit in lovely Chinese quarantine, my family gets ready for the big trip to the other side of the world. They have so many suitcases (12 to check in and about 57 carry ons) it is taking two friends to get them to the airport.

I had a exciting trip to Shanghai. I landed in London and decided to take a 5 day vacation at the Heathrow airport. Lovely kennel there and the weather in Shanghai was so bloody hot I didn't want to leave. I was disappointed that the Queen didn't bring a few of the hunting hounds to visit me. Anyhow I am now enjoying my stay in a Chinese kennel. The food is good and they walk me often. It is still very hot and I am thankful they paid extra for the air conditioned kennel! I will hopefully rejoin my family this weekend. I miss my kids!

I will be sure to fill you all in on my family's trip over and will post some pictures once they get here. We can't wait for the adventures to begin.

The Trip Begins

Well, the van came and picked me up today. I leave for Shanghai tonight by way of London. I hope I get to see the Queen! I arrive in Shanghai on Thursday. I get a week long vacation in a Chinese kennel and then I will be reunited with my family! They all come to Shanghai on August 1st. There sure were a lot of suitcases in the study when I left. We have had lots of family and friends visit us as well. Luckily all of them dog lovers!

Getting Ready for the Move

We are 30 days away from our move to Shanghai. There is a big black suitcase packed and ready to go which is making me very nervous. Generally a suitcase means I get left home but my crate is in the dining room which means something very different - a long airplane ride.
