Banana Peel Cure

So Noah has had a growing (no pun intended) wart problem on his fingers.  I asked the ped. here what he recommended.  I nearly laughed out loud when he suggested wrapping his fingers in banana peels, then duct tape.  We were desperate so we gave it a try.  It worked!!

Morocco

We broke two of our travel rule (no bus tours and no boats) but the rainy weather warranted drastic meaures.  We took a bus tour to Morocco for the day.  It was only a 45 minute ferry crossing across the straits of Gilbraltar.  It was worth breaking our rules and we found Morocco very interesting.  We came home with a beatiful new rug!

Fueringirola Spain

After Barcelona headed south to a little resort town just south of Malaga.  It boasted having 340 days of sunshine a year.  We head 6 of the rainy ones.  Despite the weather we had a great time, swimming between rain showers, horseback riding, going to the market, walking the boardwalk and a day trip to Morocco.

We spent Easter break in Spain. We drove to Barcelona first.  What a fantastic city.  Although we rarely return to places we visit, we would love to go back.

I was served a lovely breakfast in bed!  I love Noah's expression in this photo. Don't you love the fancy clothes he put on to serve me!!

Hike along the Walensee

We took a lovely hike, first one of the season along the Walensee.  This is the lake we look down on skiing at Flumserberg.  It is the deepest lake in Switzerland and is a gorgeous color.  It was a fantastic hike, went with the Brannons.  Had a little drama when we came upon a group of hikers who had somebody in their group who had just had a heart attack.  They were performing CPR and waiting for the Riga helicopter.  We scurried past but heard and saw the helicopter arrived shortly afterwards.  We walked a bit further then turned around and went back.  As we past the group again we saw the gentleman awake and breathing so we knew that hopefully there was a happy ending.  It was a gorgeous spring day!

Something's in the Soup!

Sophie and Noah were both in the school's spring play.  It was an original play written and directed by the grade 12 IB drama students.  It told the story of ICS students travelling back through time throughout the 50 years history of the school to discover why the current students were turning into zombies.  Sophie was a 60's student and Noah was one from the 70's.  Lots of singing and dancing.  Highly entertaining!
