Noah's birthday

We celebrated Noah's birthday on Sat. at GM family day at Sheshan National Park. It is a park about 1 hour west of Shanghai. There were lots of things for the kids to do, a wading pool with slides, waterfalls and sprinklers, a large maze to get lost in (which Thomas did!), a bouncy hill (Chinese version of a bouncy castle) and a huge tree house. A good time was had by all even though it was super hot!

All is well in Shanghai. Peabody has turned the blog writing over to me as his schedule has filled up with various napping spots that all need attention. He is loving chasing the ducks back into the pond each morning and holds a grudge that I won't let him swim in the water. (It is gross!)

The kids are all loving school. Thomas has his first rugby game on Thurs. He had his cast removed yesterday and the finger seems to have healed just fine. He may sit on the bench for the first game just to be on the safe side.

I am including several pictures of the kids at family day.

Happy Birthday Noah!
Did your mom make you an "American" Birtday cake, (using cake mix from a box) or did she order one from the grocery store? Did you get a kite to fly, as everyone loves to fly kites in China.

Thomas, Nora wants to know more about Heely's and getting hurt.

Sophie, how is your teacher, is she nice, and do you do any after school activities.

Jon, have you been hoopin it up, and are you taking the family to see the US Women win the World Cup???

Sarah, are you subbing yet, or having tooo much fun shopping. You and Judy will have lots of fun bargain shopping when we come to visit in March. Out tickets are booked, arrive March 21st, depart March 30th. Keep on blogging and taking more pictures of China!! So far your pictures could be from the USA, bowling alleys, swimming pools, and brick houses. Show us some street scenes, show us shopping, show us Peabody's banned swimming pond, (we are a demanding crowd here)
Love from all of us!!

Hi Peabody and the rest of your Gang!

Bubba, here, enjoying your pictures and the recounting of various experiences. Keep them coming! The heat in Brookline, MA (09/08/09)will approach 95 degrees today so we are trying to compete with Shanghai! Do you have any pictures of the kids in school and your car and driver? The Red Sox are doing well and we are hoping that the playoffs will lead us to the World Series once again. Maybe you can fcous your attention, Peabody, on Wally the Green Monster, as a subsittue for the ducks.

Love to you and all your family!

Bubba

Hi guys! Bubba is letting me use his computer for my comment -- my web browser has gotten lazy or lost its mind or something and I can't always get to your blog. LOVE the pictures of the beautiful park where you celebrated Noah's birthday. Also love the picture of kids in front of your front door --Sarah, you keep finding houses with beautiful glass! Hope Thomas' finger is completely healed and out of cast/ace bandage so he can fully enjoy touch rugby! All for now, hugs and xxx Amma
